The 3.0L R6 biTurbo engine (S58) of the BMW M3/M4 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The cooling process of the charge air is thereFore not realized with ambient air as usual, but with a separate cooling Water circuit. A reduction in the cooling Water temperature leads directly to an improved cooling Performance of the charge air.
